How to Build Six-Pack Abs

Perhaps the most common question that any trainer or muscle-building expert will get is how to build six pack abs. These requests especially pick up as winter rounds into spring and summer is clear upon the horizon. Guys know that the warmer months are months where the shirt comes off whether one is at a beach or in the midst of an intense volleyball game.

Getting six pack abs in a hurry is not terribly difficult. However, just because a thing is simple does not make it easy. It will take a tremendous amount of discipline to get the results you want in extremely short order.

Let’s get started. We can begin with some good news. It is likely that you already have some stellar abdominal muscles as you are. The fact is that most humans as a result of genetics and the constant strain daily living places on the “core” are carrying a six pack set.Build Six-Pack Abs

Unfortunately, for the vast majority of these same people this six pack is utterly useless because it is simply not visible. Overlaying your six pack abs are a layer or flab and fat that maybe thin or terribly thick depending upon your cardiovascular shape.

Therefore, in nearly every case, the first step is to target and eliminate (or vastly reduce) this layer of fat. Regardless of how many exercises you do, that flabby layer is going to obscure your muscles. In come cases it is a good idea to redefine your nutritional inputs as well.

In order to do this, it is critical that you increase your level of cardiovascular activity with aerobic exercise and reduce the amount of calories that you are consuming in order to burn this fat. However, I am not recommending a starvation diet coupled with mad-man workouts.

The best way to achieve this fat loss is simply to eliminate certain foods all together. For instance processed foods, sodas, white bread and fast food have to go if you are serious about obtaining a ripped six pack.

In their stead focus on naturally enriching foods that are high in protein. Chicken breasts flavored in a variety of ways should become the staple of your new diet. Also, it is critical that you shift your carbs from the processed, “white” variety to the enriched, “whole grain” type.

On the exercise front we are going to target the abdominal muscles with a range of core-building exercises. To build that mass start with the ultimate building blocks of this area: the sit-up and the crunch. These tried-and-true exercises give your torso a shock that results in the generation of new lean mass.
